The Albanese Organization

NYC’s First Farm-to-Lobby Mobile Market for Real Estate Developer

Client Goal

The Albanese Organization, Inc. (AOI), pioneers of green building, wanted more food options for the residents of its three LEED-certified residential buildings in Battery Park City, NYC.

Creative Solution

Combining consumers’ dual interest in mobile food trucks andlocally sourced fare, we developed New York’s first “farm-to-lobby” mobile market. We conceived of and negotiated an exclusive partnership with Holton Farms, an eighth-generation Vermont farm, to make weekly deliveries of food, including grass-fed cows, cage-free eggs, vegetables, herbs, fruits and artisanal cheese and bread, to the residents of The Solaire, The Verdesian, and The Visionaire via its membership-based Farm Truck program. Residents receive discounted memberships and can place orders online.

Results

More than 50 families signed up in the first year. Dozens of additional residents visit the truck each week.

Over two dozen press placements, including a Real Estate cover story in the New York Times, a feature on NY1, and coverage in Forbes, Robb Report, Luxist, Business Insider, The Real Deal, New York Real Estate Journal, Mann Report and more.

Holton Farms was swamped with real estate developer inquiries following the New York Times feature.
