The Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans has completed a $22 million restoration of the entire property, including new décor in all 316 guestrooms and suites, a refurbished Club Level lounge; a makeover for Le Salon; a refresh of The Grill Room, The Polo Club Lounge, the pool area and meetings spaces; and the addition of a lobby bar and spa.
The updated guestrooms, public spaces and new aptly named lobby Cocktail Bar debuted in January 2012 with the Spa at Windsor Court slated for a spring 2012 opening. The refurbished Club Lounge showcases a dedicated concierge to attend to each guest’s needs and also features enhanced services, including extended continental breakfast, traditional English afternoon tea, and evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Le Salon, home to afternoon tea, has been given its own individual identity within the lobby, with a residential feel. A new centerpiece bar was also constructed to serve as the lobby’s Cocktail Bar, which opened in January 2012 under direction of recently appointed hotel mixologist Christine Jeanine Nielsen. In spring 2012, the 4,500-square-foot Spa at Windsor Court will open with 10 treatment rooms, including one wet room and one couple’s treatment room, a sauna and salon facilities.
