Top Dog: Pooch added to hotel’s executive team

Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar Atlanta Midtown names Brady Fischer Director of Pet Relations
True Kimpton HosPETality: Pet Suggestion Box, Homemade Turndown Treat, Personalized Collar Tag, Pet Bed, Bowl & More

ATLANTA- March 8, 2010 – After several months of training, Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar Atlanta Midtown named Brady Fischer as its director of pet relations. The adorable golden retriever, Australian sheppard and border collie mix is charged with a roster of important responsibilities, including welcoming guests, making suggestions for local pet-friendly hot spots and attending the hotel’s evening hosted wine hour. Brady has been working like a dog to implement several new pet-friendly touches to ensure that Hotel Palomar Atlanta is the top pick for pets coming to Atlanta. He has already gotten off on the right foot (or should we say paw) by launching the following:

Pet Suggestion Box – Four-legged friends will be encouraged to give their feedback about their stay at the hotel. Their comments will help to make sure the hotel is delivering on being the cat’s meow.

Yummy Treats – To keep tongues wagging with delight before bed, each pet will receive a turndown amenity, prepared by Chef Keira of Pacci Ristorante, located adjacent to the hotel.

Dog Tags – No pet will leave the hotel empty pawed; an engraved pet tag with Hotel Palomar Atlanta’s logo on one side and the pet’s information on the other is a gift from Brady to his fellow furry friends.

Pet Scenes to See & Be Seen – Where do A-list pooches parade to? Brady will tell all with a list of his favorite places in Atlanta upon check-in. Pets who mention that they are friends of Brady’s will receive a discount of 10 percent off services and products at local stores Piedmont Bark, K-9 Coach and Puptown Products.

Pet Pampering – Pet grooming and massage services, as well as pet sitting, can be arranged through the concierge, with Brady’s input, of course!

To celebrate his new role, Hotel Palomar Atlanta will offer 10 percent off the best available room rate to all guests who check in with a pet through May 31 and book using the rate code PPET. In addition, the hotel will give a $1 donation for every pet check-in to both PAWS Atlanta, the oldest and largest no-kill animal shelter in the metro Atlanta area, and Angels Among Us, the non-profit organization that Brady was rescued from, during this same window.

Kimpton has always led the pack in being pet-friendly, offering true hosPETality, as the first full-service hotel company to welcome pets. Hotel Palomar Atlanta, and many Kimpton hotels, offer complimentary amenities such as pet bowls and beds, the popular pet magazine Doggie Aficionado and more. Brady has a number of fellow director of pet relations around the country at sister Kimpton hotels.

When Brady is not on the job he likes to put his paws up at home. He resides with the Fischer family, which happens to have another top dog under the roof, Hotel Palomar Atlanta General Manager Mark Fischer. The family recently relocated to Atlanta and rescued Brady.
